This is your chance to contribute to management and maintenance of a high-profile portfolio of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and complex structures that thousands of people rely on every day.

You will contribute towards the operation, maintenance, design and management of over 400 structures throughout the city including listed structures such as the Albert Bridge (built 1871), modern iconic structures such as the Clyde Arc (built 2006).

Position Details
\nReporting to the Group Manager (Structures) you will lead a team responsible for the design, management, maintenance and operation of the city’s road related structures. You will provide support and expert advice to other services in support of the council’s wider strategic aims and be a key link between internal and external stakeholders.
\nApplicants must have good collaboration skills to develop and maintain effective partnership working. You should have experience of delivering a range of engineering projects in constrained urban environments and be skilled in improving performance and achieving excellence.
\nApplicants should have a degree, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering and a full, current driving licence. You should also have incorporated membership of a relevant professional body such as ICE.

Contract Details
\nWeekly Hours: 35 hours per week
\nWork Pattern: Monday – Friday, hybrid work pattern.
\nAnnual Salary: £55,388.20 - £64,300.11 on an incremental scale
